Printmaking paper is pretty pricey. The good stuff can cost about $4 a sheet but is worth is because the cheap stuff ($2.50-$3.00) is way too flimsy. Zinc plates are about $40 for a whole sheet (maybe more now). And startup supplies (putty wedge things and cotton gloves and paint knives and special netting) can also add up. It also eats up a lot of outside time because you just can't do intaglio printmaking at home. :)
