Feb. 23rd, 2005 03:08 amI hadn't seen my fiance since Valentine's Day (see: phlegmy doom), so tonight I tied him down and made him watch Real Genius*. He had never seen it! Now that error has been rectified and I'm happy to report: he thought it was good eatin'.
I also made him drive me to the library, although I was perfectly capable of driving myself. Just not feeling up to it. So instead of, "I'll be over in half an hour or so, I have to stop at the library on the way," it was, "Will you come and get me? And take me to the library?" I'm such a girl.
At said establishment I picked up a bunch of books and other media, including a THREE-DISC SET OF JOURNEY CDs, which I plan to enjoy both ironically and un- in the very near future, and The Saddest Music in the World on dvd. And Shutterbug Follies, the acknowledgement page of which was unexpectedly a rogues' gallery of people I kinda sorta vaguely know, currently and past-tense. The world is very small indeed.
* This link is to a script which seems like it might be the original. Both Hathaway and Knight have different names (Atherton and Kingsley or Kinsley - I think Atherton is the name of the actor who played Hathaway, so it's possible that the role was written for him). Hollyfeld is "Hopsfield." A handful of lines seem to have been subtracted, too. For instance, when Chris hands Hathaway a paper that says I ACED THIS after the exam, the script has Atherton/Hathaway shooting back a note that says ACE THE LASER. It's not Susan who Atherton is sleeping with ("So you'll hammer later!"), just a random female student. And Atherton makes specific reference to his DOD contacts that Kingsley (Knight) is the person actually developing the laser.
