I'm having problems! I need your input!

This is the first Thanksgiving I'll have spent around relatives in several years, and the first around my mom's family since, oh, 1986ish.
I have selected a Nice Outfit to wear at dinner. None of my usual hijinks. No random straps. No bracelets with what look to be little silver studs but which, on closer examination, turn out to be skulls. No club clothes. I do try to be presentable on holidays anyway, but on this holiday in particular I feel a pressure, completely internal but present nonetheless, to look good for the nitpicky relatives. They're still gonna pick on my lip piercing, but overall I won't look like an artfreak. My hair is even its natural color (with a lot of expert synthetic assistance to get it there from platinum!)

The problem:
My outfit is like so: a brown fine-wale corduroy skirt with a nice cut, it's sort of a straight skirt with gores and darts that make it A-line. Brown tights. Wee brown kneesocks with embroidered flowers on the side. A sweater, but I haven't yet decided which. It'll be either olive green or autumn-leaf-red, or the one sweater I have that's a mix of those colors with some neutrals.

I don't have any brown shoes.

I have PURPLE shoes and BLUE shoes and CHERRY RED shoes and CLEAR PLASTIC shoes and SPECTATOR shoes and lots and lots of black shoes, but my selection of brown shoes is limited, intentionally. The ones I do have are summer mules with open toes, an absolute no-go in this weather. Also a pretty faux-Victorian pair that I got in 1994 that I'm pretty sure are too small for me; at any rate, they wouldn't go with the outfit. I have HOT PINK AND GREY shoes, but no ordinary "office casual" brown!

My choices are:

- I could possibly borrow a pair of shoes from CJ, we wear the same size, and I know she has brown, semi-dressy-ish strappy doll-shoe Docs with a wedged heel. These might not look good with my outfit, though, and I hate to take my best friend's shoes away from her. (she has plenty, but you know, I'm just weird about lending and borrowing stuff like clothing and personal items.)

- I could try to find a cheap pair of brown shoes or boots somewhere or other tomorrow. Target and TJMaxx are both nearby and will probably have something for under $30, which is my official budget for this issue. They don't have to be superhigh quality, because I just won't be wearing them that much. Penneys and Filenes are also running good deals on shoes right now. And there's always Payless. And WalMart. And anywhere else I can think of that sells supercheap trendy shoes.

- I could just suck it up and wear black shoes with my brown outfit. I mean, my purse is black (though I will probably switch to the leopard-print pirate purse before I go, because it matches better).

I swear. Almost 45 pairs of shoes and not a single one of them goes with my outfit.
