Skipped going to Staples and the library yesterday, even though my ILL books were due... I was just too exhausted.
So I stayed home and did laundry and worked on the CSS thing and did some knitting. Nothing stressful. I'm feeling better today.
Today's plot and plan is similar to yesterday's, except that I am actually going to do it this time.

Today is really grey, overcast. Warm and humid, but the light is cold.

I woke up a while ago (an hour or so) when someone delivered a package to the front door - I think it is my aunt's belated birthday gift to my mom. At any rate, deliveries really upset my dog because the delivery people walk across the same section of yard that she does her business in; she can smell it (new footsteps from other yards), and it bothers her. It took so much encouragement to get her to go potty this morning. She would sniff the grass, looking around for a "good" spot, not find one, and pull hard at the leash to go back inside. But I stood my ground and finally she chose a spot JUST on the edge of the grass QUITE far away from the porch. (Why do delivery people walk across my lawn? Dude, there's a driveway and a sidewalk to the porch. Use it.)
When Trinity arrived she brought a new vice with her - Free Cell solitaire.

I don't think Fat Man (on whose keyboard I'm currently typing) has it; I don't think I'd ever even played it before Monday. I might have played it on my old computer in the early 90s, some shareware program from a BBS or something.

For the last couple of days it's been an absolute obsession, though. & having the kind of compulsive personality that I do, I cannot... stop... playing... until I've won a game. I could write and publish a book of three thousand ways to avoid writing, and I have to say that Free Cell, Bejeweled, Alchemy, and Bookworm would be an entry in the top ten, with Free Cell being the worst by far because it's easily the most challenging and frustrating (though Alchemy and Bookworm can reach the same levels of head-exploding-frustration late in a game).

I think maybe avoidance, for at least a few days, would be prudent.

(Another thing Trinity has that Fat Man doesn't and that I miss from other computers I've had - that little Character Map program! I have to do something about that.)
