Aug. 12th, 2003 11:48 amToday I haven't done much of anything of interest, except scavenged around the kitchen for food, hung around with
arwen_isobel, and fixed Trinity, who picked up that LoveSan worm within a few hours of being set up. It's my first experience with having a computer virus! It was nasty... just kept shutting down. The momster spent hours last night on the phone with tech support, and they got it running enough that I could download the new virus definitions today and clean everything up.
Today Coffee Place is still closed, so I haven't made any particular plans - maybe Library, maybe not. I don't really like the library. It's as noisy and busy as the bookstore, except you can't have snacks there and there's a lot of dust and mold in the air. I like the concept, "LIBRARY," and used to hang out there a lot when I was a teenager, but nowadays the reality usually leaves me with an allergic reaction. Tomorrow I will not be visiting Coffee Place either, since it's the momster's birthday. She's going to be 48.
If I were not so hungry and convinced that I'd spend too much money there (mmm salad soup bread sandwiches danishes bagels etc), I'd take Little Boy (the iBook) out to Panera and sit and drink hazelnut coffee all day! Perhaps I will - I have to go out this afternoon anyway, to run a few really boring errands..
