Today I must have had an overriding impulse to frustrate myself...
I have been knitting away at the stupid Noro hat I've been working on for months - it'll be adorable when finished, but the construction technique requires more knitting than most hats because there are parts that are wrapped up in the folds and never seen. It was meant to be done in fisherman's or half-fisherman's rib, which I didn't really understand at the time that I started it (back in, oh, Octoberish), but instead I did it in my own weird variation of moss stitch rib: K2 (P2, K2) on every row. You end up with moss stitch that has ribby striations in its texture. but it's a pain in the ass and very boring to do, and slower than the fisherman's rib i didn't do. I have about 3" to go before I can bind off and assemble the thing. CANNOT WAIT. because working on this thing has been possibly the most irritating knitting project i've ever tackled.
Aside from that I've been working on a template for Brian's website and have changed it about 80,000 times today - because you know, you upload, and then you find little mistakes you made in sizing a table or whatever. This is another frustrating creative venture. I promised my cousin that I would work on his band's site, on top of this, but I haven't done anything for it because so far, I don't really have any ideas. I have ideas for B. only because he has a blank slate and, oh, I'm a bit of a design nazi. a martinet, as it were.
The third thing is N's birthday present, but that isn't going badly, it's just time-consuming, more than I expected.
And somewhere along the way, I seem to have forgotten to eat much of anything in the last... 15 hours or so.
