books for sale!

I just listed a bunch of new-condition books on Amazon and I tried to undercut the prices of other people who are selling "new" books there (not always the used books, but hey, mine are in perfect condition). My seller name is verbminx2 (it MIGHT not be showing up - if so, then I'm the only seller listed without a seller name & that's how you can find it) and I only make around $5 for each book (which is usually 1/2 to 1/3 what I paid for it). Pleeeeeeeease check it out if you can, there are all kinds of books. I will post another one of these in a few days when I have listed more.

oh, langorous life.

It looks like I'm not doing much today. (I had tentative plans, but it's looking like naptime instead.) I'll go out and check the mail for my much-awaited package, I think.

In an unrelated event, I have somehow chewed through my lower lip. Well, not really. I've peeled it off in layers over the last few days, mostly in fidgeting while doing my novel research. Now it looks punished and feels raw. and the Kiehl's stuff I'm using isn't working quickly enough.

Speaking of which, I wanted to make it ultra-clear for those of you watching the novel community that you will see no actual content, just wordcounts and stuff. if you want to read excerpts you have to actually join the community, rather than just watching. there are already a couple of lengthy posts up there with plot planning, some interesting research i did, etc.

Someone I don't even know chastised me over something a minute ago (in replies to a friend's post) - yeah, whatever. She can have her opinion but I think she was kind of out of line in saying it to me in the way she did. I just don't know how to respond, so I'm not going to bother.

Indeed, I went out this evening.

Just to Best Buy, Ross, and Barnes and Noble (spending a LOT more time than I wanted to in the first and last location). My mother had decided to purchase a new scanner, despite that mine works well and will work with her computer. No, she wanted her own. OK, mom. So, she spent money on a scanner, & we also got the Beauty & the Beast DVD. I went to Ross looking for my Margot Tenenbaum dress, and then to Barnes and Noble to look at, um, books. I got an old Tanith Lee book, Biting the Sun... aka "the FourBEE books". Almost bought NYLON but virtuously put it back (I told you I was feeling Virtuous - I've also been standing up very straight lately). the momster bought marble-headed push pins with celestial designs, and - and - and - a kids' book on How To Draw Manga!

After that I had to beg to come home and sleep... but here I am, about to take comfort in my nice soft cozy bed.
