FINALLY getting caught up on sleep. 13 hours. I hate being asleep during the day, so hopefully this will help to turn it around. Back still hurts (causing headache), but I've been spending time on heating pads, and I'm going to go to yoga class later today, and both those things should help. 80,000 things on my internal To-Do List, as usual.

I had a dream that I was a princess being chased around a large, weird mall-type place by an assassin. I ran into Charlotte and Samantha from Sex and the City and Charlotte loaned me this thing that she'd bought - she had four, she'd bought them for her and her friends - that was a giant bag of air that worked kind of like the bag in a set of bagpipes, crossed with an umbrella. That is, it filled with air when you used these different umbrella-like handles, and then you pushed the handles to move it around and fly a little (but no more than 20 or so feet above the ground). I escaped the guy, who was using some kind of large banner to chase me on air currents. Actually, my group of people caught up with him and saw him meeting with someone, then captured him, and as he was captured and giving us information, the person he'd been meeting with killed him. Oh well. I do have these highly-plotted cinematic dreams from time to time. But for some reason, in my dream, I was saying, "Hey, I saw all this happen on Alias!" (even though it, um, hasn't).

Well, let's see.
I had planned to go out and buy dinner, but my sore shoulder is acting weird... a little cramped... not in a bad way. I think it's actually trying to loosen up and go back where it belongs. (Right now, if I roll my shoulder back, you hear cartilage going CH CH CH - and I feel it, too.) Also, I've been up for almost 15 hours and I'm in total fashion-slack housework mode (OVERALLS - need I say more?) - I don't really feel up to changing clothes and driving anywhere.

So, today,
I did a certain amount of chilling-around-the-house, but
I also did a lot of boring mundane useful stuff like changing the sheets on my bed (which actually prompted the outchilling, cos there's nothing like a newly-made bed for stretching out on to listen to music!)
I dealt with the unfortunate fact that changing the sheets meant clearing all the crap off of my bed.
I did the embarrassing heap of dishes that I'd built up, which so far has been three loads with more to go: there is only so much space in the drying rack.
I put on my "Hella Good!" cd and danced around the room a lot, which I call a workout.
I washed all the cat vomit off of my sneakers, which are now drying. Had my big squick moment of the day during that last part, when as I was scrubbing stuff off the heel I began to be able to smell the cat food in the vomit. Nice, huh? At least in a day or two I will have useful sneakers again.

I also got my cheap copy of Patricia McKillip's Song for the Basilisk in the mail, which I have to admit I ordered more for the cover than the contents... I have a longstanding adoration for Kinuko Y. Craft, and her covers for McKillip's recent books are some of my favorite examples of her work. I also ordered The Tower at Stony Wood and Ombria In Shadow, for the same reason, but they're coming from elsewhere and haven't arrived yet. I mean, I WILL read them, but it's the covers that make them must-haves.
