May. 19th, 2002 06:25 amI don't think I really like Kazaa. I'd used Morpheus and deleted it. I got KazaaLite tonight (to avoid spyware) because I was looking for a rare track, one of my favorite bands covering something by another of my favorite bands. I found what I was looking for and more in the same vein, but it really shouldn't be such a pain in the ass... it keeps ignoring my preferences and trying to download four songs at once. I think I will continue to use Audiogalaxy where possible.
I've been asleep and awake on and off for the last 12 hours or so. Leaning more to the asleep side at the moment, but when I tried I wasn't falling asleep. I'm about halfway through Pandora by Holly Hollander (which is really by Gene Wolfe), which is still pretty good, but not as smooth as I remember it. It's interesting to catch more of the 70s references this time around (like when Holly blames Kate Millett for the fact that she has to hitch a ride because she hasn't been wearing bras in a while and therefore has no spare cash squirrelled away for the bus).
When not asleep, I've been chatting with friends and working around the house. I have an AIM away message that says "I am away being an industrious little hausfraulein," and it is up fairly often. Tonight I washed duvet covers and made sure my hat, scarf, and gloves were clean to put away for the summer. One winter jacket is already clean and the other two (one of which is more of a fall thing, but whatever) are going to the cleaners' next week.
I have an extensive wardrobe. Don't look at me like that.
