we went out & i accrued some birthday presents... more on that tomorrow. i can definitely go cross a few things off my wish lists! :)
most amusing: my mother buys a "summer makeup Look" at Sephora. the girl actually talked her into Dior foundation and a Stila shimmer compact.

tonight was the sold-out No Doubt concert in the impossibly small venue. i tried to get tix on the phone from a radio station but was unsuccessful. *pout* i feel pretty dorktastic about the whole thing. i mean, the caring part. i'm ten years older than Bleu Finnegan (who is fictional) and No Doubt is no Adam Ant.

then i was at this bookstore meandering and a guy passed me, did a doubletake, and said, "why aren't you down at the House of Blues tonight!" I wailed (er, quietly) "I would be but I couldn't get tickets!" (god, do I look that much like a Gwennabe? i can't help that I'm blonde!)

my knee hurts. and it's past my bedtime.

I just ditched everyone on AIM because A)new IMs aren't blinking so I didn't realise ppl were talking and B)I'm too tired to talk anyway.

thanks for b-day wishes! :D i will have to reply to comments tomorrow or something. i didn't get a ton of sleep (just woke up like a shot at like 8:30 AM) and i need to get ready to go to birthday things!

last night i got the Padmé Amidala paper doll book (cos we all know the new Star Wars flick is really an extended fashion show, right? ok, glad we're settled on that...)
and an issue of MAGNET with a big article on the history of Shoegaze & the major bands & so on... it also has an article on Stephin Merritt. and the current NYLON, and BITCH, which I always find half-interesting and half-irritating. & a black cardigan with cherries embroidered on it, on clearance. & a mini pin of the grey cat from The Simpsons.
