farewell to my cred.
Mar. 24th, 2002 01:07 am(but do i really care about my "credibility"?)
hmm. I didn't get very much sleep at all. Got up, worked on some beading stuff, watched the figure skating World Championships, which were exactly like the Olympics (same long programs - music, costumes, etc), only people weren't trying as hard. Unless they were Fumie Suguri, who is so delicate and doll-like and did really well this time (as opposed to the last time I saw her, when she looked ill and in need of hugs).
So, as a result, we're going to one of those Stars On Ice type deals in about two weeks, and we're going to see all the 2002 medalists. I feel totally lame. I went to the Sesame Street Ice Capades once when I was maybe 2 years old and I still have a giant yellow button pin with Oscar the Grouch on it! But that's been it for me... I've never been to one of these exhibitions before and I suspect I never will go again, either.
While I was buying the tickets online, I also hunted out No Doubt tix for the day before my birthday... and... they're sold out! The only sold-out spot listed on this whole tour so far. Rotten luck. Cred? Just slipped a few notches more. (Um, do I get some back, despite my wistful desire to see No Doubt for my bday, if I mention that The Faint is the opening act? No, probably not.)
and... I worked on my zine while I was being an insomniac.
and tomorrow or Monday I will go pick up my new glasses.
and tonight, before I go to sleep, I'm just going to read, clean, and make stuff.
