felicitations...

OK, if you're interested in Felicity spoilers (I'm lookin' at you, parenthetical), go HERE. You probably don't want to read them, though. This site supposedly has been 100% accurate for the entire past season, and if that is the case... the very last few episodes seem, um, really dumb. (and yes, before anyone says it, that would be "as opposed to the rest of the series," so there!)

i am a mouse, mousin' around... clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick...

Whew! I got a new mouse installed. It was high drama for a few minutes there, with me on my hands and knees reaching way back and trying to unscrew the old serial mouse from the computer with about 1" of wiggle room. But now I have a wheel mouse in, and it doesn't randomly double-click on things. I feel happier, more productive. =P
(this is a new mouse that's been waiting to be hooked up to my mom's old computer; I decided to take back the one I bought, along with the Holy Grail dvd, cos I just can't justify the expense at the moment, and it'll be at least another month or two before my mom needs to use a similar mouse.)

I haven't been around much on AIM lately because... I just haven't been feeling chatty. Nothing at all personal to anyone. I'm sure I'll spring back soon.

I cannot describe the newness, the joyousness, of having a freakin' wheel mouse. granted, i have one with the wacom tablet that i have never been able to properly install. but the one i'm using now actually works. i am a new woman. Cleaner, happier.

i have been downloading a lot of mainstream "indie" rock tonight. mirah, on a tip from pander land, and i at least like "cold cold water", though i'm not sure what the rest will be like. the strokes, the faint, death cab for cutie. i will of course buy cds with my meagre fundage once i know whether or not i like them enough to buy. also looking for some old sarah records stuff, esp a compilation called "battery point". i guess the next bands i d/l after this group of songs is finished will be old sarah bands... heavenly etc... to see if i like them. many bands i like are listed on TWEE.NET, so there is at least a chance.

today I... did some housework, and slept a lot. i cleaned off my bike helmet, as well as my supercool zebra-print U-shaped travel pillow, and will get to washing the bike tomorrow sometime. then i got suckered into watching charmed, then watched Alexei Yagudin strutting his stuff on the figure skating world championships. i have been given familial permission to marry him... but he's too young for me.

my mom wants to take me on "a vacation" next week! weird. i wasn't actually planning to do any vacationing until after the semester ends. now i have to decide where to go! maybe miami; i've never been there. or maybe st augustine or savannah or even atlanta. we can't really afford it... so i don't know what has gotten into her head.
