Odd evening... miss Nathalie came over and we were theoretically going to sit around the house a bit and then head out for a snack, but then the momster barred entry into the house. Very odd. So when N. got here we went out for an extended snack, then stopped where we saw some ppl we know, and talked to Kat for a while. Came home to find that my mother had done a whirlwind... thing. With the house. Mopping. I don't know. We were allowed in, and I showed N. around, and she just left.

I just opened one of my mailboxes to find unexpected mail from WB (unexpected because I owe him mail, not the other way around). His gf of 9 months is moving up closer to him, isn't that sweet? (Meh.) She's looking for her own apartment though. All this reminds me of how much I really need to move. I'm getting on track for that again... although most of my college transfer apps are still sitting in my advisor's office. I lent them to her so she could look at the viewbooks. I can get them back on Monday, I suppose.

I can't believe school starts again on Monday! ack ack ack. Vacation has been TOO SHORT. I only have two classes next semester, and they should both be fairly easy. But still, it's a pressure and a routine that it's nice to throw off for a few weeks.

It's actually cold outside. Winter coat cold. Bake the house cold (someone who isn't me cranked up the heat). Sweater weather. When I went out last night it was damp and chilly but I was OK in a sweater and pants. It's gotten colder since then.

I was up late last night doing housework (laundry, mending, getting things ready for ebay, etc), and when I went to bed, I meant to read. But then the B-cat came and sat on my book, and put his head down and fell asleep. I spent so long staring at him that by the time it came into my head to get the book away and read, or pull out a different book, I was too tired. So I turned out my light and went to sleep. I awoke five hours later to the same cat jumping on my head and drinking out of the water glass on my nightstand. *sigh*
