Someone just posted this in academics_anon. It's a General Knowledge Test given to hapless students on the Isle of Man. It's also really fucking hard. Check it out. I think I got about six of them right without doing any research, and could get a few more given a few minutes to check some books that I have around the house. But as the person who posted it said, "No fair using Google."

My mom took an online IQ test this morning that said her IQ was 83. 80 was the lowest you could get. Apparently it is geared to people with cable modems, since it timed how long it took her to finish the test.

So... I hate New Year's Eve. It's the un-holiday. I never have anything to do... it's not that I don't have invitations, it's that invariably plans get screwed up or I don't feel like doing whatever happens to be going on. A few years ago I had seriously bad scenes, two years in a row, and I finally threw in the towel and decided to stay home. The last two years I've watched movies, had a little champagne, that kind of thing, and it has actually been pleasant, if a little bit pathetic. Tonight I'm making MIMOSAS! which are good, and eating some of the massive amounts of cheese that C. sent in The Ubersnacktray.

I have been having Reflective Thoughts about things the last few days, but I don't see any reason to mark them down. Usually they're just getting upset about things/people I'd rather forget. I think there have been a lot of improvements in my life this year, whether I caused them or not (some were just the result of time). Right now I feel like my own girl, albeit with some obligations here and there.

This morning I spilled milk all over myself because I was pouring it into my cereal and accidentally hit the spoon at a weird angle that caused the milk stream to leap!! out of the bowl! My pink slippers and my pajamas with puppies on them are just fine, though. At the time, one of my slippers was soaked with milk and too seriously gross to walk in.

I bought some seriously hot camisoles at Target tonight and funny campy leopard-print tactel undies. The camisoles are black and leopard. I don't normally do leopard but these are cute, the same basic style as a Betsey Johnson "Hollywood"-style dress, with the lace neckline and the cutout strip in the bodice. They also had cute 3/4 sleeve slash-neck shirts with sequinned cherries on them, so laverne-and-shirley-core. But I look at stuff like that and say, "I can make that," and put it back! (I never do make them.)

Oh, you're terribly interested, I know. Happy new year! :) :) :)
