The Sims

I slept for a really long time today... and have been playing with my Sims for the last few hours. I have had the game since like January but I never played it until last night. I've been playing the Newbies, Bob and Betty, to check out how it works. So far I have given them some nicer furnishings, a new stereo and espresso machine, and a basketball hoop that I had to sell because the ball went missing. They are both nurses making $340/day. They adore each other but have no other friends; they don't really get along with Bella and Mortimer Goth. They chose not to adopt a baby yet (they don't have room for it). The next time I play, I'll add another room onto the house so that they can have a better living room and a better kitchen, instead of a combination.

The momster bought me a Klondike bar while she was out earlier. Possibly to make up for the scary szechuan greenbeans she served with the Olive Garden leftovers (neither of us could eat the beans! they might have been good on their own, but they do NOT go well with chickens Scampi and Marsala).

The oven is not working. This is very upsetting. We can't get it fixed until January because the visit will cost $35 cash and that money is tied up in bills. We did get good dinner reservations for Xmas day, surprisingly enough. (hi-ho credit debt.) we've tried to get reservations for this restaurant since xmas 98, and this is the first time we've been able to!
