Oct. 20th, 2001 03:27 amI stayed in today, and got a lot of sleep. The idea of going out to see From Hell, which I've been waiting for, was very tempting, but I still feel really tired and achy, and the momster seems to be coming down with what I've had. I watched Mirrorball and Becket (yawn) and burned some cds. The momster went to the grocery store and brought me home lots of fruit, so tonight I ate millet-rice cereal with dried raspberries added on top, fried chicken, a banana, some grapes, half an apple, a small bowl of baby carrots with ranch dressing (errr, not all at once). Good healthy stuff. Too much sugar, but I didn't feel up to making a salad. Drinking lots of water, taking vitamin C.
I took that Buffy Dream Date quiz and ended up with Oz. Thought I'd get Giles. Oz is cool.
Not really much of interest, but I don't want to get out of the habit of writing stuff down.
The momster wants to buy me a camera for Xmas... I think I might have mentioned this... because a few years ago I wanted an Elph for my birthday and received a Canon SureShot Owl instead. When we were shopping for her digital camera last night I also looked at regular cameras and picked out the Elph2. But now I don't think I will bother. I'm not a photography nut (cameras just seem to me to be another thing to carry), and it doesn't seem that the Elph is really any better than what I have. If I happen to be on a trip where I want to be able to take the panoramic shots that APS cameras allow, I'll just buy a disposable. I'd rather have a nice leather jacket or a new TV (mine must be 15+ years old and the picture is really shot). I can't see spending $200 on something I don't need or much desire.
