Oct. 17th, 2001 02:45 amI actually dragged my bottom out of bed this morning and went to school... but I got sent home by my art teacher, who said I didn't need to be in class looking like I was going to throw up, particularly since we weren't doing anything interesting this morning. Since all my other classes for this week are cancelled, I have a week to recover. Which is nice.
So I came home and slept for like 6 hours, then watched Buffy (pleeeeease tell me those geekboys are NOT this season's big villains!) and Smallville (hello, Roswell-but-a-little-less-boring). Then put in the rented dvd of A Knight's Tale, which was interesting and which I enjoyed. I didn't expect to enjoy it because I'm usually a stickler for period accuracy with medieval stuff - having been a medieval buff for the past 15ish years - but I "got" what they were trying to do, create "analogies" for a modern audience, and I liked the characters and the script, so I'll give it a reluctant thumbs-up.
The deal with how I feel at the moment is - I ache all over and my stomach hurts, and I can't tell if that pain is internal or muscular or what. It is rather gurgly and I've been, um, gassy on and off over the last few days. I am running a fever of 101.2, at last count, which has done nothing but rise all evening. It was 99.5 when I came home from school. I have almost no appetite, and today have eaten a Luna bar, a bowl of cereal w/dried raspberries, a slice of veggie pizza (no sauce or cheese), a kiwi fruit, and some pomegranate seeds. I have been drinking lots of water (some of it being that enhanced Glaceau "Wellness Water" - the Dragonfruit flavor is soooooo good!) and have had a wet washcloth on my head and have taken Tylenol and Aleve.
I will probably go to the doctor's tomorrow. Meanwhile, aren't you glad you're not me? ;-P
