Oct. 15th, 2001 02:00 amSo Rubylou posted some wacky geek links, and for the most part I enjoyed them... what I am about to say is not her fault...
One of the links was Bad Designs. While I have to agree that maybe 10 of the several dozen things listed are indeed badly designed, there feels like there is a lot of padding. More interestingly, if you read the whole site you're given a picture of the site designer that I'm not sure he wanted to put out: that of an individual who is easily distracted by shiny objects and who never bothers to read instructions, and then endlessly whines about it. He just seems totally incapable of putting two and two together, and I really don't think that most of his "badly designed things" would confuse a person who was even remotely observant; he labelled them as such because they confused him or because he wasn't willing to take an extra 2 seconds to either look closely at something or even glance at the instructions. By the time I'd finished reading the whole site, I wasn't really impressed with the terribleness of these designs, but I did want to smack the designer and make him stand in the corner for an hour or two. No fucking attention to detail.

I made yummy broccoli and cheese soup for dinner(yes, MADE... not just "opened a can").
I watched Andromeda earlier. Tyr is hot.
I have a fever. (and I am not Miss Peggy Lee.) My throat is tickly.
I think it is my bedtime.
