I am having a bad day for pain... it hurts to sit, it hurts to walk, it hurts to run around. I feel arthritic and old. My joints are cracking loudly. My toes even hurt. Blah.

SATC was raunchier than usual tonight, if that is possible. I love Miranda and her chocolate baked goods habit. Finding Forrester was predictable, but the script was witty and well-written, I thought, and there were positive differences between it and similar movies like Scent of a Woman and Dead Poets Society. Principally it didn't ask us to feel sorry for prep school brats... prep school brat in question was a literature-obsessed scholarship student from the south Bronx. I liked the movie in spite of myself.

I spent about an hour foolishly rolling a pullskein of yarn into a ball and then rewinding that ball backward, while a rerun of a two-part Jonathan Creek was on. Had to do with the order of colors in the variegated yarn i chose for the thing i'm making for my grandmother. You have to be careful about where you start in the yarn when you change skeins. This has been a nightmare but I think it is mostly sorted-out now.

I miss wishing people a happy birthday right and left, because I don't read my lj mailbox enough. *bleat* If I missed wishing you a happy birthday, I'm really sorry. :(

I'm also thinking of dropping a few people who either never post or who have their comments set friends-only and haven't added me, so I can't even comment, even when I have something useful and interesting to say! I don't know. I don't really like to drop people unless they've dropped me before I had a chance to get to know them, or if their entries are written hermetically.

I am still all achy today. It's a lazy house day, everyone is sick and lying around. Even the cats look drained. The humans just feel ill and wrong.
