Worried about Banshee. Poor Banshee. Aquagirl, have you talked to her? is she going to be OK?

Happy about the Democrat thing, but if a Dem defects in the near future, it could be an interesting game of ping-pong, couldn't it?

My headache was really vile today and I went to the chiropractor and met the new massage therapist. All went well. Afterwards, we went to Jo-Ann Fabric, where the huge pattern sale they have every so often was going on, so I found a ton of patterns I liked. I mean, between my mom and me, we got at least 10 patterns. I got a lot of historical patterns, plus a robe pattern, an evening kimono overjacket pattern, and a lovely winter-coat pattern. We also got patterns for pet beds, patterns for kitchen appliance covers, blah blah blah. It's pattern city here. I got a nice soft cotton/poly blend tropical floral print in blue and white to make the robe out of. It'll be my first project, after I finish my current knitting project.

I also saw an old friend of mine, aka The Cockroach Princess, at the store. I didn't talk to her; I will probably give her parents' house a call sometime in the next few days. We have had a really unhealthy relationship. She can bring out the worst in me. But we have also had a lot of fun together, in the past.

After that, my mom decided she wanted steak, so we went up to Outback Steakhouse for dinner, and I had chicken and the cheesey onion soup. Whee. Now I'm sitting around the house doing not much... laundry, puttering, etc. Trying to figure out what to do with all these patterns!

I'm talking to Jet and MrAnthrope, but I'm quickly running out of energy and thinking that Sleep Is My Friend.

Here is a list of the patterns I bought...

Vogue 1266 - princess-seamed "skater-style" winter coat
Vogue 7351 - evening kimonos (satin, velvet, etc)
(the following are all by Simplicity)
9319 - "2-Hour Robe: Yes I Can Learn to Sew!" (your basic yukata)
9004 - cat beds (one shaped like a house, another like a dome tent, and a third like a big puffer-fish where the cat crawls into the mouth...)
8690 - kitchen essentials (2 aprons, oven mitt, pot holder, tea cozy, appliance covers, tablecloths, ironing board cover, seat cushion, valance, café curtains) [this one is particularly obsessive. of them, well, let's just say we don't even OWN a toaster. we use a toaster oven. who wants to spend time making potholders? sheesh.)
9758 - "medieval costume collection: ladies" (this would be the patterns made for your local production of Camelot. the spookier one is pretty nice, but the fair maiden one is kind of gross. they have a more historically-accurate medieval pattern, but i already have it.)
9746 - "costumes" - 17th & 18th century dresses. basic pilgrim and georgian stuff.
8855 - "costumes" - scottish lass pattern, for my mom. your basic tartan skirt and puffy hat with bodice pattern.
9761 - the more-or-less historically-accurate early 1860s gown. goes with the corset, hoopskirt, underpinnings patterns i got a few weeks ago.
9182 - Style - 3 skirts, one with flat train, one with flowing pleated train, one with bustle. all dressy & meant for wear with bodice/bustier/corset.
9065 - Dog and cat beds and placemats - another obsessive pattern. but lots of good styles. vastly ignoring the fact that cats generally only like to sleep on/in things not originally intended as pet beds, preferring things like human beds and cardboard boxes and stuff.
8946 - Style - yummy va-va-voom 1930s style gown with a low draped back and flowing princess skirt. really beautiful.
9300 - Style - long cheongsam with several sleeve styles (wrist, cap, or none). pretty pretty.
7513 - "6 made easy!" skirt/pants pattern - makes flowy skirts with slits on both sides, in various lengths, and several pairs of soft pants with drawstring waists. summer wear.

no, you didn't ask. but i told you nonetheless.

in other news, had the opportunity to watch someone i don't like call a kettle black, as she lambasted a mutual friend (well, former friend, for her). publicly. yuk yuk. always the entertainer.

i am going to go snuggle with my blankets and my kitty now. goodnight!

still headachey, can't sleep, want to claw out own eyes, etc.

utilizing the free time by working on webstuff, which i haven't done in a while.

i think i must be insane. yes. i have a headache, so i'm going to go stare deeply into the demon-coal eyes of photoshop and dreamweaver for a while. that will be healthy.

i'm nauseous, too. bleh.
