hey! look! we have bombs!
Feb. 18th, 2001 02:21 amI can't even go into the thing about bombing Iraq. I'd rather it wasn't done, but if it is done, a media event is a bad idea, because it invites reprisals. America looks even worse than usual (if that is possible) on the international scene lately.
I'm having Problems getting my things off this computer of L's... realizing in a panic that I'm down to two clean and functional Zip-100 Disks, and have about 360mb still to clear off, and much of that is Illustrator files which have an average size of 70mb each. I have been trying to burn cds of the 360mb of data, but the cd burner keeps freezing up somewhere between 80% and 95%. Two failed cds so far. *sigh*
While I wait for cds to burn, I've been cleaning my livingroom, which has been entertaining, and watching an episode of MSNBC Investigates about the John List case (a man from New Jersey who murdered his entire family - mother, wife, and three kids - in 1971, and wasn't captured until like 1989), which I've seen before. The N-cat is currently trapped in the livingroom and is howling and crying and carrying on as though he'd been left alone in a cave on Everest with no food (exactly the performance that got him into the livingroom, when I was in there, to begin with). I'm about to start more cds burning, and will go back in there while I wait for them to process.
Work work work.
