Last night (well, Friday night, after my last entry), I had the strangest dream... dealing with a hypothetical situation I had posed to a friend who was interested in polyamory, as a sort of "are you prepared for possible outcomes?" self-test. It was emotional and intense. I am going to try to write a short story of it, but I think it's going to be hard to capture the same emotions.

Went to the big mall out in Orlando with L today, but at the moment I am pretty tired, and also quite a bit too pissed-off to write about it. Suffice it to say for now that L was mean to me in several tremendously rude, abusive, and uncalled-for ways, I think because he has dirt-level self-esteem and has the blustering superiority complex to cover for it. Regardless, he didn't need to be such a prick today. So, tomorrow there will be details. I am taking a break from L.

I bought a lot of stuff... two sweaters from jcrew (exactly the sweaters I had ordered, except I saw the "wine" color I had ordered and it isn't at all what I wanted, so I got "black" and "evergreen"). An eyemask stuffed with lavender and a sleep-inducing inhaler from Origins (eyemask will probably go back next week, as I just recalled that I have something similar, bought as a present for an ex, never sent, and still sitting in my room). A Spider Man plaque thingy from the Franklin Mint store for my dad for Xmas. From Sephora, a glittery red BeneFit lipgloss, one of their new Kitten shower caps, and a Shu Uemura nailpolish in the exact Cafe au Lait shade I was looking for, as well as a free sample of a Philosophy handcream I was thinking of getting (I also tried the Vivienne Westwood "Boudoir" perfume that's supposed to be one of the hot scents for fall - very strange, on me it smells like Angel mixed with Armani Elle). At Hot Topic I got a little thing that will probably end up a Xmas present for someone, as well as a glittery red winkykitty wallet (since my Emily wallet split down the back), a mess of stickers, these strange eyelid glitter sticker things, a pair of Hello Kitty socks, and a "key-leash" thing (long "shoelace" strap thing with a ring and clip at one end), for my future work ID. At Borders I got a Japanese mystery novel I'd been wanting, as well as a book on philosophy as relates to the body, the new Mediaeval Baebes cd, and an Xmas present for V that I know she wants badly but won't buy herself (hint V: it's red, you can write in it, and you told me you wanted it at least three times while we were looking for your guestbook... so let me know if you did buy it for yourself!). I probably also bought other things I'm forgetting about. I spent too much money but, except at Sephora, it was all stuff I can say I needed or at least "needed". I didn't buy too much dumb useless stuff. Ah, but the reckoning will be when the bill comes!

grrrrr.

So, on top of the general irritation over The Friend Who Says Things That Friends Shouldn't Say And Behaves In A Generally Inconsiderate Manner...

I am picking up around the house, doing things that need to be done, because I am not really tired enough to sleep yet. A lot of things from my trips last month are still sitting around: my half-unpacked suitcase right by the door I come and go through the most, with a large cat sleeping on and in it all the time (let's hear it for the Feline Supervillain! :) - a small bag of purchased souvenirs a little further into the house but certainly not much closer to where it should be than the suitcase - those kinds of things.

This was spurred along by the fact that V gave me a lipstick and an eyeshadow, and I thought they were in my makeup bag (which is a little clear zippered Sanrio thing, maybe 8" long and 3" tall and 3" wide), and they aren't... I decided to do a quick search. They don't seem to be in my suitcase, any of the bags I took toiletries or cosmetics in, any of the bags I brought souvenirs home in... they seem to have walked off the face of the earth. Not a big deal, except that I would have liked to have not lost them!

Then I noticed that I was charged double for some of my souvenirs - UBOlights from Urban Outfitters, which are these colored lightbulbs covered with silicone spikes that pick up the color when the bulb is lit, and look like some strange and threatening new fruit. They're supposed to be $12 each, and I was charged $24 each! I'm going to call UO tonight or tomorrow, but I don't know how much they can do for me without me being there. Maybe J-girl or J-man can take the receipt in or something.
(why do most people I know have names beginning with J? Both my parents and stepparents, a good percentage of my friends. Heh.)

Anyways, I am officially disgruntled. I suppose this is what I get for disorganization.
