now, what's worse is that i filched the sanssouci survey and then messed it up. would you believe it? (or maybe she just went back and fiddled with some of the questions, I dunno...)

So without further ado, here's the whole thing. Parts I missed before will surely be in bold.

What is your mental age? 14 at best.

Tuck or no tuck? Yuck to tuck! when the sheet is tucked in, it hurts my feet! i'm too tall for that.

What is your favorite disco anthem? I hate disco. If I had to choose, um, probably "YMCA".

In your opinion, who is the most overrated celebrity today? Russell Crowe. Angie Harmon. I don't know... most celebrities don't impress me strictly via celebhood, but most I think are cheesey tend to be known as cheesey. I really fucking hate Nicolas Cage and John Travolta, to begin with....

What dance step have you perfected? The Gothic Two-Step. The ArtyGirl Hip-sway-kick.

If you were a film director, who would you be? Who would I be, or who would I like to be? If the former, someone unskilled, since I am sentimental and know not a whit about direction. If the latter, either Peter Greenaway or Stanley Kubrick (only, yanno, ALIVE and stuff)... or... whatever.

What was your least favorite college subject? That would have to be any subject I previously liked, because I go to a shitty school and they suck all the enjoyment out of required classes. English Lit and history were the worst, most boring courses I've ever been in. All review for me, with bad teachers.

Elizabeth I or Elizabeth II? That first one. She rocked.

If you weren't [American], which nationality would you pick? Martian. Um... no, seriously, I don't know. There are bad and good things in every country. Instinct leads me to say Japanese but I suspect I might not be happy.

What song are you listening to right now? I'm listening to the blowing of the a/c. No music. Just a rush of air. But R.E.M.'s "Imitation of Life" is stuck in my head... you want the greatest thing, the greatest thing since bread came sliced......

Beatles, Rolling Stones, or The Who? Eeeeek. Beatles. But can't I have Bowie instead?

What is the last poem you read, and when? Something from The Vintage Book of Contemporary World Poetry, probably about a week ago or a little less. "The Poems of the Pope" by Nicanor Parra, actually.

Any shows you'd like to see re-run on TV, but which probably don't have a hope in hell? Covington Cross is at the top of the list, followed by a few whose titles I don't remember. Cupid also deserves another chance... that show was great. I kind of miss The Others, even though it wasn't very good. Twin Peaks and Aeon Flux do get rerun on occasion...

What colour is your hair now, and which colours has it been in the past? My hair is currently this weird shade with dark blonde roots and red ends, and pinkish-red streaks throughout the rest of it. It's inbetween colors. Give me a few weeks to remedy the situation. It has been red-toned black, purple, most shades of red, fuchsia, and varying shades of blonde.

Guilty pleasure pop song? Um... probably something by Bush or Debbie Gibson.

Do you have a favorite word? No, I have a lot of them. Unundulating is up there. I get the A Word A Day mailings and I already know at least 4/5 of the words I get.

Are you good with houseplants? No. I forget about anything that doesn't remind me to feed it.

What's the best thing about your job? Job? What is this thing we call job? I'm supposed to be a freelance writer & designer, but I haven't done much of either lately.

Favorite hockey player? Hockey? What is this thing we call hockey? In fact, what is this thing you call "sport"?

Who is the first person you ever had a crush on?
Ummm... I think my uncle's friend Bob, who was probably about 18 at the time. He has more recently been a cat burglar and gigolo. =/ I don't even remember him, I'm just told I had a crush on him by my mom.

Which was the best year of your life? 1992, maybe. 92-94 were all OK, though they were also hell.

If you could own one piece of art, what would it be? Oh, gosh. Don't get me started. Probably Botticelli's Primavera, or Van Eyck's Arnolfini Portrait or Madonna of Chancellor Rolin. If you like, I will also be happy to take Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights off your hands, and most certainly any spare Joseph Cornell boxes you have lying about.

What proverb or aphorism do you use most? "Bite thy tongue!" - I think I prefer cliches to proverbs and aphorisms.

Broom or vacuum cleaner? Broom with special collecting cloth!

Do your ex's hate your guts? No, mostly they feel guilty & regretful & repentant. Their exgfs, on the other hand, tend to try to do bad things to me. I think Amish Boy might hate my guts, but I'm really not sure or interested.

A song that you loathe to such a degree that if you never heard it again, it would be 20,000,000 years too soon: "I don't want to miss a thing" - Aerosmith

What's the next film you'll be seeing? That's a good question. Either Almost Famous or Shrek, most likely.

Who's your favorite revolutionary? Emma Goldman

What's the dumbest female name you can think of? Mildred. If I didn't have personal reasons for choosing that, then either Tiffany or Crystal. Sandy/Sandra and Barbara are up there too.

Are you sick of hearing about/from Tori Amos? Getting there. I tend to dislike Tori fans, and even did when I was one. I like her older stuff.

Where are you going on your next vacation? Probably Boston, to see J-girl and S and WB.

What is your most common facial expression? Concentration.

Which book(s) are you embarrassed to admit you've never read? I don't know.
When I was in 4th grade I had to do a book report and I did it on Charlotte's Web, which I had only just read. We had to make something to hang from the classroom ceiling that represented our book, and I drew a Wilbur the Pig, which I worked on for a really long time... used up an entire peach crayon coloring him. & my teacher said my book report was good but still gave me a low grade on it because "everyone has read that book before"... scuse me, I had just read it, I lived with a religious parent who wasn't much for children's literature. Fucking bitch teacher. I can't think of anything more current.
How about something by that german philosopher guy whose name I can't ever spell correctly? Friederich N________. (the fact that I cannot spell Nietzsche... is that it?... is embarrassment enough.)

Who's the most famous person you've ever gotten drunk with? My alcoholic ex-boyfriend is very famous in certain circles, though not outside of them.

Are you good at cards? Yes, but I don't really care for strategy games... they don't engage me. I've won a decent amount at poker, against other casual players, and usually do pretty well at spades/whist and Phase10, which I am told is like Rummy.
