klaus nomi

I've heard of Klaus Nomi, and knew some stuff about him (from seeing the website I'm linking here when the film first came out_, but never heard his music; this is odd, as I love both new wave synth music and countertenors. None of my close friends have ever been into him.

Anyway, I just saw part of The Nomi Song - wow!

But the library doesn't have any of his cds. Boo. Poor Klaus.

I suspect that whatever it is is cool, but it's not working for me... it's just a link back to this reply page. =/

Klaus Nomi is awesome! Simple Man is one of Otto's favorite songs (one of mine, too).

If you rent The Nomi Song, make sure to watch the extras on the DVD, there is a bunch of stuff that really puts his work into a better historical context (why it wasn't included in the movie is beyond me).

Yeah, you know... I can actually see that being a song that a kid might like. :)

I put the DVD on reserve at the library after I watched it on TV, because I'd missed an indeterminate amount at the beginning. I'll make a point of watching the extras, now that you mention it.
