this is halloween, halloween halloween!
1/2 hour until you (in EST zone, anyway) can start your No! yaaaaaaay! :)
I put on a costume (very home-assembled) and went out around town to run some errands this evening. My costume is a pair of very pointy black flat shoes, black tights with black and white striped kneesocks, a floaty black skirt (sort of EGL-looking) with tiers of tulle and bands of lace and ribbon at the top of each tier, and then a shirt over it, with a low neck and long slightly-belled sleeves and a scrollwork design done in light purple with fine glitter, and then I wore a pair of purple glitter wings. I put some glitter in my makeup (on my cheekbones and across my nose) and put my hair up with a strange hairtie made of scraps of black fabric, and another of purple glittery tinsel, and I pinned in some purple silk flowers. So, I was a purple fairy. I got compliments. Not bad for a costume thrown together around a pair of $4 wings.
I also got a book on marketing yr writing etc. (hint: FINISH SOMETHING, then GET AN AGENT. heh, heh, heh.)
Now I'm home and about to watch some taped episodes of Buffy... the two most recent. I guess I'll work on my sock. I did find a bunch of links of heel-turning-instructions, which I'll post later.
Still feeling crummy, but a little more functional than the last few days... I think I should continue to take it easy and drink lots of tea and stuff.
