Did not finish things last night, though I did do something I oughtn't (specifically, ordered something I've wanted but can't really afford).

I want to go to this place called Gibsonton. It's near Tampa. Retired circus/carnival people go to live there. I think it would be interesting to see a community where what is considered odd in a larger setting is the norm. A non-normative community. At the same time, I don't want to gawk at people and make them uncomfortable. So I'll probably just stay away.

I can't remember what else I meant to write here. I don't think my brain works at this time of day.

whoah! thats really interesting...

i wonder if they would mind a random visitor... I wouldnt think so (??)- because after all their life's work was entertaining people- its not like they have never been gawked at.

alternative lifestyles fascinate me- other cultures, other kinds of people who are different from me- i just love it all...

even people who collect scary baby heads! JUST KIDDING!

the circus life is fascinating to me because its like a little world unto itself.

yeah... i guess it's BECAUSE they've been gawked at and are now in retirement in a community of ppl who won't gawk at them that i feel like gawking would be even more bad than usual. like they've moved to gibsonton to get away from all that.
