oy. i watched before sunrise for the first time a couple months ago, and ethan hawke's character had me reaching for the STOP button many many times. julie delpy was the only thing that got me through it.

(i probably would've appreciated the movie more in general if i'd seen it ten years ago. the dialogue and emotional revelations were very OMG I'M IN COLLEGE NOW)
