my mom just wants a lap dog with a pretty face. ;)

i kind of feel like... if you aren't going to do the thing where you obsessively research the breeder and blah blah blah you might as well go to the humane society and rescue somebody. but, my mom has always wanted another sheltie, a puppy this time so that she could get attached HERE rather than somewhere else.

i wanted a cavalier king charles spaniel... really badly, actually, or an italian greyhound. but, i guess that can wait til i have my own place. i'm sure this dog will be sweet and fun and i'll like her and all that. :) i'm just kind of... i know we're not ready for her yet, so it makes me nervous. i guess this will force us to get ready for her much faster than otherwise!
