soup! soup! soup!

Hot DAMN is the soup good.

Island Black Bean... it's the kind that comes in the tall, fat plastic bag of beans and spices. The bag is twisted and tied with a ribbon. Another of the same company's soups is Thick-As-Fog Split Pea. I had more turkey ham than the recipe called-for, so I cut the extra into a couple of large chunks and added it to the soup for flavor, to be removed after cooking. I don't know if that will make a difference, but the soup - otherwise prepared according to the directions - is soooooooooo fantastic. :)

yes. it's monday morning here and i cannot sleep. i was tired when i wrote that post, went to bed and read for a while, tried to sleep, and here i am NOT ASLEEP. *sigh* and i'd rather be getting UP now than going to sleep...
