not my head!

verbminxI posted earlier about having a headache and deleted it. I really do have an awful headache, but it's been on and off all day. I think I triggered it this morning, by changing the kitty litter, because somebody (not me!) bought a 30-lb bag of litter which I tried to lift and pour into the catbox. (Midvale School for the Gifted, here I come.) It didn't really occur to me that this might be the cause until the headache faded a bit, at which point I took out the garbage and it came back worse and I noticed how much my back had been bothering me all day. Since then I've been taking it easy, mostly lying down.
But I can't afford to go to the chiropractor, so instead I'm going to fire up my heating pad and see how I feel tomorrow. Drink some nice friendly water. Take some pills. Mmmm, pills. It feels like a migraine, but I know it isn't one, because you don't get a migraine from lifting something heavy.
Today I also cleaned out a suitcase that I took on a trip with me over a year ago... it still had things in it, but nothing essential, and I had an idea of what it was (my winter coat, a cool net shawl, some silk scarves). I found things in there I'd completely forgotten, though, a couple of pairs of gloves and a couple of winter hats and cheetah-print tissues (the kind by Sniff; I have zebra stripe tissues in my purse right now) and an unused disposable camera and, weirdest of all, the nicest of my wigs. It was nice to find all this stuff... some of it was stuff I'd forgotten I owned (so it was like a present!) and the rest of it was stuff that I'd thought was nicely stored away and would have panicked if I'd thought I'd lost it. I've put most of it away, except the coat (which is going to the dry cleaner's) and hats/scarves/gloves (which are being brushed for lint and then stored if I can figure out a place to store them uhoh!)
New Pulp cd out tomorrow! - finally! I'm excited. It's so good, and it will be nice to have something other than mp3s of the music, and a Pulp album that I like enough that Different Class won't get quite so much play in the car (I think I can recite that one backwards by now.)
