I should be in bed, and will get there soon...
I didn't mean to sit online, and then sat for hours, talking to one friend and then another. Especially bummed for friend who lost the only cat he's ever really really loved (not his fault, the cat was living elsewhere). Listen, people, it's very important to keep your indoor cats INDOORS. they get confused. they don't know what to do when they're outside and they stand a good chance of getting hurt/killed as a result. there are always old outdoor cats who live forever and a day (and who are thrown in my face as anecdotal evidence that Outdoor Cats Live Long Happy Lives), but the vast majority of cats who live at least partially outdoors have an average life expectancy of four years. and that is an unnatural shame when they can live to be 20 if they are properly cared-for.

I cleaned tonight.
Getting the fur-dust off the big wire shelf tower in the bathroom (fur-dust because it was thick and starting to look like a pelt). Changing floor mats for a clean one. Putting things where they go is lovely. I just wish I had more places to put things. Or that I had fewer things (but I have an alarming tendency to like the things I have...) Did a lot of laundry. Progress, progress. It comes so slowly. & I can't believe I felt compelled to clean, with the fever and various girly-problems I've been suffering today.

more *big huggles* cos of the girlie things. And you are so right about the cat thing. All my cats were indoor cats for that very reason. :( I'm sorry your friend lost his kitty.

when I was younger we had several outdoor cats that didnt last past a couple of years. My cat Cruiser is unusual because he has lived to 14+ years... he really is the exception.
