I am still nominally on sabbatical. I do need to get in touch with fruitlolita about The Deal What We Need To Work Out. (Heh - done!)

Of course, when you decide that you're not going to read or post for like a week, inevitably tiny amusing things start happening that you'd like to keep in mind to blog. I don't think I can actually recall most of them, though.

I did get really sick on Thursday, while out on a pre-shopping (factfinding) mission to the Apple Store with the boyfriend: almost threw up or passed out or something, was saved by drinking a lot of very cold liquid, then came home and slept for 15 hours or so. I hadn't slept well the two previous nights. In the meantime, we found a sublimely ridiculous dining table at Crate & Barrel that we'll end up getting if he decides he really wants to spend that much money on such a thing. It has an oxidizing copper top. I personally think it would be better if we spent the money on a sofa or bed, but it's his money, so.

I follow stuff about Hurricane Katrina on MeFi and MoFi and don't really want to talk about it. It's a luxury that I'm relieved to have.
