I feel a little more awake now, but I'm probably still going to take a nap in an hour or two.

Since my last entry... let's see. My mom called me, and I was forced to tell her that her cat hadn't sneezed once since the last time we spoke. I was on the phone with her for at least a half-hour though... I don't even remember what we were talking about. Nothing exciting. People she's visited, things she needs to do when she gets home, my health and the cats' health, etc.

I ate some Amy's vegetarian enchiladas, the ones with corn and tofu bits and beans and sauce and cheese. They are quite tasty. Every time I eat them, I want to call them enchiladae. I also pulled a bottle of Mike's out to drink, but I've only had a few sips out of it and I think I'm going to put it back and make some tea or hot cider (nonalcoholic!)... it's just not hitting the spot. :(

I took a shower with Dirty Girl bodywash. Now I am lying here wrapped in a towel, "lily-fresh and sailor-ready!" (as the tube says.) I'm going to read and study and try to take a nap, if not sleep for the rest of the night.

*waaaaaaaaaah!*

Over the past few days it's been getting hotter and hotter in my house, even though I haven't changed the temperature on the thermostat and it's not hot outside (at least not any more than usual, and sometimes a little less). Finally early this morning I got the bright idea that being too hot and sleeping a lot might = a fever, and checked, and sure enough, I was running a temp of 100degF.

I called my prof at 9 and told her I wasn't going to make it in today, and why, and then got my appointment.

I just got home from the doctor's, where I was told what I already knew... I'm still sick. The antibiotics didn't work. What I didn't know is that I might have mono. They drew blood and gave me new antibiotics. I'll find out about the mono tomorrow. :(

After I left the doctor's office, I went to the healthfood store and loaded up on healthy stuff, and bought myself a salad and a bowl of chili for lunch.

When I got home, I found that my order from Origins had come... again. I also saw my neighbor and told him about what happened to my stepfather. When I went inside, I called Origins and told them about the extra $50 worth of stuff they sent me. They are still pondering what to do about it. Also, my zebra suitcase arrived... it is small but fabulous. :)

I put my groceries away and have just sat down to eat my vegetarian chili. I just bit the inside of my cheek. I don't feel good. I started reading Murakami's South of the Border, West of the Sun at the doctor's office and got pretty far into it. I think it's probably going to be a fast read.

Anyways. I don't feel good and I don't feel eloquent and I don't feel like having a computer screen in front of me. I do feel like putting on my pajamas and cuddling up and reading and drinking tea and getting some peace and quiet. So that's what I'm going to do. :(

FUCK YEAH!

woohoohoohoohoo Milosevic is goin' DOWN.

I just called J for a minute to celebrate! She's so happy. She says "Finally, we will be free! and if it really works, I'm going home for New Year's!" She and D are both so sick of seeing Belgrade, their hometown, looking sad and poor and damaged.

yayayayayayayayayayayay!

(see the enthusiasm I can muster for my friends' political causes, even when I'm sick?)

:)
